This little piggy went to market...

The Venice Fish Market

So every week at Casa Artom, we have a family dinner with everyone, the professor, and his wife. This week, we had lentil soup, salad and caprese salad. To prepare for our wonderful dinner, we went on an adventure with Libby Lubin, the professor's wife. She knows how to get around Venice in class! She always looks so posh! As we made our way down the tight calle of Venezia, Libby led us to a cute little bakery, cheese shop, and fish market. We walked through the fish market while Libby conversed with the nice Italian market owners. Some of the owners sang in Italian loudly so that they could get the attention of tourists!

We walked past huge tables covered in ice and fish! The fish was freshly caught from the ocean! I walked past a few guys gutting some of their fish fresh. One of the coolest sights was a huge sword fish head.Family dinners are so much fun! We had some great conversation and we had a party in the kitchen while we cleaned dishes!
