Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Day 4:
Journey using United States Transportation
(Cars, Trains, Subways, Buses, and Airplanes)

Today has been an awesome ride... except for the fact that I get motion sickness. The beautiful Nor'easter left our home dusted with beautiful white snow that glistened in the early morning sunrise. We started on four wheels driving to the Portland Downeaster Train Station and then I boarded an AmTrack train for the first time! It was exciting!
It reminded me of Unstoppable with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. We find our way back to the seats that face each other! It was a fun family ride! As we rode to Boston, I used my time wisely and studied some Italian verbs... then my brother and I decided to "go crazy," that basically constitutes us acting like morons and beat boxing! Once we got to Boston, We used our CHAALEE (Charlie) Card to use the subway. The only subway I have ever used is The Underground in London. I was so sad when the subway didn't say, "Mind The Gap." Once we left the subway, we used a bus to get to our hotel! I don't think I have ever used this much transportation in one day before. It's TRAVEL-TASTIC!
Tomorrow, We will be on our way to San Fransisco at 6AM. This trip has brought some ups and downs but we are getting there.

FUNNY STORY: So we decided to eat at UNO'S restaurant for the first time. It was like going into the cafe of the future. There were mini computers and automatic paying systems. So the funny story is when we decided to order dessert. So we all decided to order mini sundaes! My brother go a mini Reese's sundae. My mother got a mini brownie sundae. My father got a bread pudding and I got a mini macadamia nut cookie sundae. Out of all three my mini sundae was twice the size of everyone else's.

TRAVELED TO: Boston, Mass.
GAINED SUPPLIES: a HUGE mini cookie sundae
GAINED KNOWLEDGE: Sadly subways everywhere DON'T all say "Mind the Gap!"
NEXT STOP: San Fransisco, CA
